July 14, Kyiv: On 24-30 July 2011 Mr. Boran Ivanoski, Component leader for capacity building and knowledge management of the programme on “Inter-municipal Cooperation for Better Service Provision and EU Accession” (UNDP Macedonia) will visit Ukraine with a mission to provide consultancy services related to promotion of inter-municipal partnerships for improved public service delivery in Ukraine.
Agenda of the mission includes meetings with the UNDP senior management, MGSDP staff, Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Municipal Economy of Ukraine, other governmental agencies and NGOs, roundtable meeting with municipal project coordinators of the selected cities to discuss and analyze the legislative framework and policy environment for inter-municipal cooperation in Ukraine. To get into details
and study situation on the specific case, the international expert will visit Tulchyn, Vinnytsia region.
Based on the collected and analyzed data and information, Mr. Ivanoski will draft a concept paper, containing practical recommendations to improve inter-municipal cooperation for better public service delivery, outline expected benefits and barriers in this field and suggest possible area for
further UNDP intervention.
