November 19-21, Ivano-Frankivsk: 24 representatives of Civil Society Organizations gathered to learn more about the "Every Drop Matters Project" and complete the application communities. Over 2013 SCOs will carry out own projects in context of the a joint UNDP and "Coca-Cola" company (in support of TM «BonAqua») Project “Every Drop Matters Project."
In September 2012 a competition for communities within the project "Every Drop Matters" was announced. The representatives of 14 SCOs which have applied for the competition were invited to a workshop held on 19 - 21 November 2012. The participants represented the following cities and towns: Yevpatoria (AR Crimea), Ukrainka (Kyiv Region), Ivano-Frankivsk, Dolyna (Ivano-Frankivsk Region), Rivne, Zhytomyr and Odessa, v. Denezhnykove (Luhansk Region), Bolgrad (Odessa Region), Krasny Luch (Luhansk Region), Velyki Tseptsevychi (Rivne Region), Korosten (Zhytomyr Region), Haivoron (Kirovograd Region).
Community-winners of this competition rehabilitate water springs and create the recreational areas around them, clean the waterbasins, organisenal areas around them; information and education campaigns aimed at promoting the importance of careful attitude to water. Within such campaigns, the short video and audio clips can be produced, information materials, articles, leaflets prepared, various competitions among students and pupils of the kindergartens held, etc.; the trainings for teachers / schoolchildren / kids at kindergartens on a rational attitude to water resources of the planet" Earth"; special priority will be given to awareness projects with social media engagement.
