December 11, L’viv: In context of the meeting of the National Forum of Partner Municipalities of UNDP Project "Municipal Governance and Sustainable Development Programme" seminar on experience exchange with the representatives of Lviv City Council was held. During the seminar, representatives of L’viv city council, its structural units and communal enterprises on the issues of the best practices and innovative decisions in different functional areas of the city.
Lviv municipality became a partner of UNDP Project "Municipal Governance and Sustainable Development Programme" in November 2006.
In 2010-2012, municipal services quality management system was introduced in Lviv City Council under UNDP support. To promote the East-West unity, 25 mayors and representatives of the City Councils from Eastern and Southern Ukraine have visited Lviv municipality in 2010. The participants learned the best practices in the areas of community mobilisation, innovative projects for fostering local development, elaborated recommendations for improving public service delivery and identified possible ways for strengthening regional cohesion between Eastern and Western Ukraine.
At the request of Lviv City Council, MGSDP conducted several seminars for representatives of ACMHs and initiative groups which aim to establish ACMHs.
UNDP jointly with Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA, Sweden) and Lviv City Council implemented a pilot project «Measuring the Rule of Law in Public Administration» in Lviv in the department of housing and municipal economy.
