On the initiative of the Vinnytsya City Council in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), as well as Association "E-governance Cities of Ukraine" and CE "Institute of Cities" the International Conference was held: "Smart city: electronic technologies for promoting local democracy and urban sustainable development». IT specialists from regional centers of Ukraine, as well as experts from Georgia, Estonia, Slovakia and Poland have discussed the concept of "smart city» and exchanged best practices among cities.

In the neighborhood of Litochky village opening of spring renewed within the framework of project "Every drop matters" took place. EDM - general regional initiative of UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the Coca-Cola Company - spring took place. Within the framework of the project local community cleared territory around the spring and spring’s head, carried out strengthening of soil around and made a recreation area alongside.

On April 27-28 40 students and teachers from six cities, representing school communities - winners of the project “Every Drop Matters”, visited Kyiv. During their stay in Kyiv the guests visited UN Agency Office in Ukraine, where they met Olivier Adam, Coordinator of the UN System, UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine, the Coca-Cola company plant and Kyiv Water Information Centre.

The press conference on "Solid waste. Landfills in Ukraine. Does a waste disaster threaten Ukraine?" was held today in the media-hall of the information agency Ukrainian National News. Social Good Summit Ukrainian Meet Up has convened academia, key development speakers, civil society, government officials, entrepreneurs, students, journalists and technologists to discuss best practices and present ground-breaking development ideas that can turn the biggest challenges faced by our world today into opportunities for growth, development, and progress.
Jointly organized by UNDP, UNICEF and United Nations Volunteers, Kyiv National National University and National School of Journalism the event was part of the global conversation, a dialogue spanning the continents and united around one common theme: How can new technology and new media create solutions for the most pressing global and local problems?
Leading journalists, UN experts, representatives of the Minsitries of Education, Justice, Regional Development and Emergencies, international IT companies "Microsoft" and "Intel", NGO and community leaders have took part in the discussions.
